Level 3 Services

Optimization Fit, New Road, Cyclocross, Mountain, or Recreational Bike: $250*

Looking for the best possible fit on a new bike? Our GURU and F.I.S.T. trained fitters can use their experienced eyes, the DFU’s fitting bike, and the DFU’s Kinect motion capture software to find the perfect position. The Optimization Fit begins with an interview to determine your cycling history, goals, physical limitations, and injury and/or pain issues, then leads into the fitting, followed by a good-better-best report on which bikes in which sizes will be the most comfortable, efficient options for you, then ends with the setup of the bicycle of your choice with the position and hardware you need. Includes the Saddle Finder service during the fitting.

*Additional charges may include a new stem, handlebar, seatpost, saddle, or other parts and labor.

You need: cycling-specific apparel (shorts, jersey, cycling shoes, clipless pedals).

Estimated time: 1 hour 30 minutes - 2 hours (10-15 minutes of interview, 45-60 minutes of fitting, 30-60 minutes of parts installation).

Optimization Fit, New Triathlon or Time Trial Bike: $250*

Taking on a triathlon or a time trial event? You need the maximum possible amount of support and comfort in the aero position when you ride; a fit that forces you to rely on the base bar for comfort will be inefficient while riding, and in a triathlon, even worse for you when you get off the bike and begin running. The Optimization Fit begins with an interview to determine your cycling history, goals, physical limitations, and injury and/or pain issues, then leads into the fitting, followed by a good-better-best report on which bikes in which sizes will be the most comfortable, efficient options for you, then ends with the setup of your new bicycle, optimized to give you the most efficient, supported position possible while in the aerobars. Includes the Saddle Finder service during the fitting.

*Additional charges may include a new stem, aerobar, seatpost, saddle, or other parts and labor.

You need: cycling-specific apparel (event-appropriate shorts and jersey or skinsuit, cycling shoes, clipless pedals).

Estimated time:  2 hours - 3 hours (10-15 minutes of interview, 45-60 minutes of fitting, 45-90 minutes of parts installation).
