Quad Cycles is proud to offer Colnago bicycles and framesets to the Boston, Massachusetts and greater New England region.

State-of-the-art materials. Unmatched aesthetics. A history of supporting the best cyclists in the world. More than any other framemaker, Colnago is known for all three of these.

Ernesto Colnago began making his own frames in 1955, working entirely by hand with steel, and first saw success within professional cycling when his frames led to a gold medal for the Italian pursuit cycling team at the 1960 Rome Olympics. While many companies would be happy with having one rider earn a gold medal, Colnago sought out greater results, and sponsored a diverse array of cycling teams. During the late '60s and early '70s, Colnago was the framemaker of choice for the Molteni cycling team, home of Eddy Merckx, the most successful cyclist in the history of the sport.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Ernesto has always pushed his company towards innovative partnerships and designs, and in 1987, Colnago and Ferrari teamed up to design a prototype carbon fiber frame and wheelset. This partnership has continued to the present, and today Colnago and Ferrari share a carbon fiber supplier, making Colnago's top-end bicycles lighter, stronger, and more comfortable thanks to Formula One-quality materials and engineering.

Over the years, Colnago has supported Mapei, Rabobank, Europcar, and countless other teams' World Champions, Grand Tour jersey winners, and other highly successful elite riders. Quad Cycles is your source for bikes worthy of them and you.

Featured Frameset: Colnago v1-r

Colnago's partnership with Ferrari has led the bike maker not only to advances in materials, but also in aerodynamics, and their geometry has been advanced by the expansion of their lines to include monocoque carbon designs, built with Toray carbon fiber, the strongest, lightest, and most versatile carbon for bicycles and Ferrari's best cars. The V1-r is Colnago's most forward-thinking frameset, with options for direct-mount rim and disc brakes, full carbon dropouts, and frame geometry meant to accommodate a diverse array of riders.

The frame weight is sub-900 grams, and the geometry lends itself to stable handling, making the frame perfect for seated or standing climbs. The ThreadFit82.5 bottom bracket shell, meanwhile, can take any contemporary crankset with greater stiffness and reliability than any other design on the market. The V1-r is the pinnacle of framesets for those looking to craft the perfect road bike in any build they desire.

If you're looking for uncompromising performance, the finest tuned ride quality, exquisite design, and a pedigree unsurpassed in the cycling world, look no further. Colnago is here.
